Murphy extends best wishes to Paralympians

Sinn Féin Newry/Armagh MP, Conor Murphy has extended his best wishes and good luck to all of those Irish athletes taking part in the London Paralympics.
Murphy is attending a reception in London at the invitation of DCAL Minister, Carál Ní Chuilín MLA, to celebrate the involvement of all the Irish athletes in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.
Speaking to Newry Times, Murphy stated, “The Olympic games are the ultimate test for athletes, all of whom have been preparing for their events for years. But the Paralympians give particular inspiration in their displays of determination to overcome the adversity of disability.”
“It is the culmination of determination, individual courage and team spirit. I want to extend my best wishes and good luck to all of those Irish athletes who will be participating in the Paralympics,” he added.
