O'Rourke takes positives from McKenna Cup campaign

Paddy O’Rourke has taken a lot of positives from Armagh’s McKenna Cup campaign. The Orchard County made their exit from the pre-season competition last night, despite finishing with a win over Monaghan, and their manager said afterwards, “We’ve used an awful lot of players and I think everybody in the panel has been given game-time and we’ve come out of it reasonably injury-free, apart from Brian (Mallon) picking up a knock tonight.

He added, “And we’ve two-and-a-half weeks to get ready for Cork coming here for the first round of the National League which is when we will see our season kicking off. We were a wee bit unlucky as we would like to have played Gavin McParland and Rory Grugan in the McKenna Cup, but both of them are out injured as they were close to the team last year.”
