Camloch Lake was the setting for a New Years Day Fund Raising “Dip” which helped raise funds for Women’s Aid Newry, Mourne, South Down and South Armagh and Cuan Mhuire. Amongst the “dippers” was local Councillor Pat Mc Ginn who praised all those who had attended the event. Speaking to Newry Times he enthused, “Well done in particular to all those staff and volunteers from Womens Aid who took part in the Dip and came along to cheer on those of us taking the plunge.”
