Sinn Féin MLA Megan Fearon has said a panel of redress should be set up to meet the needs of victims and survivors of child abuse.
“Sinn Féin has consistently supported the call from victims and survivors, and from experts, to establish a panel to redress the needs of the groups and individual victims,” she said.
“Such a panel would involve emotional support, counselling services, access to records and material support in order to help address the hurt of the abuse they suffered.

Fearon added, “Victims and survivors should also be involved in shaping the work of a panel of redress in order to make sure it adequately meets their needs.”
