Anger over Health Minister’s absence at 'crucial debate' on Daisy Hill Hospital

Sinn Féin MLA Caitriona Ruane has expressed her shock and dismay that acting DUP Health Minister Simon Hamilton failed to attend a vital adjournment debate on Daisy Hill Hospital on Friday.
The incidents happened at Daisy Hill Hospital in NewrySpeaking to Newry Times, Ruane said, “Given the importance of this debate to so many people across large parts of South Down and Armagh who depend on Daisy Hill for treatment and care, Simon Hamilton’s failure to attend is an absolute disgrace.
“Sinn Féin is calling for all emergency medical services to be retained by the hospital and for the concerns of staff and public on this matter to be properly addressed.
She added, “The public have the right to expect DUP ministers to do the job for which they were elected.”
