Social Enterprise showcase at Stormont

23 of Northern Ireland’s leading Social Enterprises descended on Stormont recently for a Social Enterprise Showcase.
The event, hosted by the newly formed All Party Group on Social Enterprise, aimed to raise awareness among MLAs of the valuable social and economic contribution social enterprises are already making here.
Speaking before the event, All Party Group Chairman, Danny Kinahan MLA MP said, “Social enterprise combines the best of entrepreneurial spirit and social return, and is a key component of the current Programme for Government.
“I’m delighted that the All Party Group could play host to so many of our local social enterprises.Government needs to more fully embrace new business models for procuring services -like social enterprise-that are proven to deliver added value.”
